Aaliyah Dana Haughton burst into fame in 1994 after she dropped her debut album Age Ain't Nothing But A number. She was only 15 at that time, and the album was later renamed Gold. It was done as a collaboration that was highly inspired by R. Kelly and it put the singer in the limelight. In 1996 Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland worked together to create the second album of hers, One In A Million. It featured the track If Your Boyfriend Only Knew as the number one. The second album of Aaliyah, One in a Million was released in 1996. It contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Only Knew. In 2000 she appeared on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romantic action film with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, the film producer, met her at an awards show and suggested the role. In 2002 she was in the vampire film Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels was her first appearance in The Matrix Sequels. She has also been as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2007). The singer received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is a first-generation Indian-American from Connecticut. Mann is a shortening of her married first name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar, her professional name, but she is also known as Aarti Magumdar. Although she began with tiny film and television roles, her acting started to gain momentum around the middle of 2000s. Her other notable projects include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. She's also appeared in major commercials featuring brands like Volvo the world's largest auto manufacturer. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actress.
