Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds folk gospel, soul and R&B to create a unique mix. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway up to the Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine has been born Denise White. Though she's from Atlanta however, her ancestors are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was first introduced to the idea of becoming an artist by playing the piano as well as singing in churches. She was a student at Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her journey to become a musician in the city's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You the House, is only available in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and is the mainstay of her live performances. Her voice has also been a part of voice for The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns.
