Today, the actress and former cover girl lives in Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above she left). The couple was married only eight years, and separated for 20 years, but Ann Turkel is still struggling to deal with the loss of her ex-husband, Richard Harris. Turkel is a native of New York. She was born in Manhattan and comes from an Jewish, middle class family, studied at both the Neighborhood Playhouse and American Musical and Dramatic Academy when she was sixteen. Within one week, editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland had Ann shoot her very first Vogue cover using photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was soon one of the most wanted models in the United States, appearing on covers for the biggest magazines for fashion. They comprised Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Ann was a successful model for various cosmetic companies such as Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe within two years.
