Nancy Wilson is a Grammy Award award-winning jazz musician. Nancy Wilson was born on February 20, 1937, in Chillicothe Ohio, to Olden Wilson, who was employed at the ironworks as well as Lillian Ryan, a former domestic worker. Nancy is the youngest among six children. Nancy loved listening to the records of her father and his enthusiasm for music. Nancy released her debut recording on Dot Records during the time she was with the group. Cannonball Aderley suggested that she move into New York so as to enhance her career. In 1959, Nancy moved into The Big Town. The agent of Adderley heard about her in The Blue Morocco Night Club, Boston Road, The Bronx and she signed. Within a month after arriving at New York City.
