Jazz musician Nancy Wilson a three-time Grammy Award-winner was born on February 20 1937 in the city of Chillicothe, Ohio. Her parents were ironworker Olden Wilson, and former Lillian Ryan who worked as a housekeeper. Nancy was the youngest out of six kids. Nancy was inspired by her father's music taste and records played in the home. Nancy knew that she was going to be a singer by the time she was four years old and developed her talent by singing in the choir at church. After high school when she started appearing often on Skyline Melodies. She was 15 when won the TV talent show. At the same age when she was working, she began performing in nightclubs. Nancy was 17 when she graduated highschool. After matriculating at Ohio Central State College - now Central State University - for one term, Nancy quit to become professional performers. In 1956, she recorded her debut album along with Rusty's Carolyn Club Big Band. They toured together from 1956 through 1958. Nancy's very first Dot Records recording was made during her time in the Carolyn Club Big Band. Cannonball Aderley suggested that she relocate to New York so as to improve her career. In 1959 she moved into The Big Town. Within a month she got a gig singing at The Blue Morocco Night Club situated on Boston Road in The Bronx where Adderley's agent heard her and signed her. It was a contract with Capitol Records in the year 1960. That year, she made her debut with. Guess Who I Saw today Capitol Records issued five Nancy Wilson albums over a two-year period. Initially focusing on blues and rhythm under Adderley's influence, she began to move away from R&B and began to embrace the torch and jazz genres. Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley's collaboration in 1962 was instrumental to propel her into the spotlight as well as her hit Tell Me the Truth was made available in the year 1963. The following year, she received an invitation to perform in New York's Coconut Grove, the most famous nightclub in America.

Ellie was the character she played in 2013's short film Americano and Rum. The actress was featured in the role of a cameo Korr Sella for the movie Short Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. In 2016, she was a part of Netflix's Original Film The Kissing Booth Season 2 as Chloe Winthrop.
